Dear HOS Members,

I hope that all of you continue to be well and healthy, as we continue what it seems a never-ending uncertainty of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Please pay attention to the HOS email and website for important information on the next elections of the HOS in November. Be on the lookout for documents and ballot information that will be send to all the members via email.

Last month Newsletter, I mentioned about the small gathering at the Cabrillo National Monument (CNM) that we had, Monday 28 of September to commemorate the 478 anniversary of the Spanish explorer Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo landing in what today is the San Diego Bay.

What I did not mentioned is that the National Park Service (NPS) and the CNM still are trying to perpetuate the notion and misinformation that he was Portuguese. Below is the latest “Wayside Exhibit” and our letters of opposition:
